Hi, I'm absolutely IN love with both of these schools and want to do ED to one of them (I'm not positive which yet).

My stats:
GPA: 92 UW
SAT: 2160 (700M 790W 670CR) I'm going to take in October
APs: APUSH 4, English Language 4, Calc AB 3, Physics B 3, Music Theory 4
I'm taking 4 AP classes senior year

Extracurriculars: Intern for Judges at Town Court (highly prestigious/selective job), Pianist at Conservatory Honors Program (I've won a lot of piano competitions), Director of school news station, Varsity Tennis, Lead in School Musical, Job at food shop, Volunteer at Nursing Home, Taken college courses during summer at UCSD

Please chance me guys! I really appreciate it.

I’d think that you’d be a competitive applicant to NYU, and applying early always increases your odds. So, match?
For Barnard, it’s more selective, so I’d say that your chances are less slim(but still not impossible).
One note about applying Early to NYU: If you’re going to need a hefty dose of financial aid to be able to attend, don’t count on NYU. Their average indebtness is 36k according to USNEWS. I had a friend apply there and if she were to attend(she was accepted RD with similar stats as you) she would have had to take out 42k over four years in loans. And ED is binding.

I think you’ll most likely get into NYU if you apply ED. If apply RD, then I think you’ve got a 50/50 shot. As for Barnard, I think you’ve got a 50/50 shot if you apply ED and I would say it’s a mid-reach if you apply RD. Good luck!
