Hey guys! I'm new here but I'm REALLY nervous about applying to NYU... especially because it's been my dream school for a while now... I'd really appreciate some honest feedback :)

Vancouver, Canada

I'm Chinese but I have Canadian citizenship... and I've been in Canada for 11 years

UW GPA: 3.7ish (my school does IB so we don't really do GPAs... but that's what a representative from Northeastern said I would get based on how they calculate IB marks -> GPA)

Weighed GPA: 4.3ish

School does not rank

Very small private school, pretty competitive (graduating class has 55 students)... we're a very new school though so we don't have that many alumni

SAT I:
Math: 710
CR: 650
Writing: 550 <- ew

I retook the SAT this month and I'm hoping to get 2000 and above... I'm also taking the ACT but I'm not sure what I'll be getting on that...

We don't have student governments and stuff like that at our school... considering how small it is

I've heard that it's actually easier to get into NYU through regular decision.. is that true? But NYU really is my dream school so I'd really like to apply ED...

Also, does anyone know if applying as "undecided" be considered negatively?

Thank you :)

Please? Anyone?

bumpppppppppppp

please someone? :)

pretty please? :S

You should be fine for CAS, your application looks balanced overall. Don’t worry about that SAT writing score - it isn’t given much weight in comparison with the CR and M sections. Good luck!

Thanks!
I actually took the SAT again and I got 660 on the Writing section, 650 on Reading, and 730 on Math
And… my ACT score came out! I got 32!

Good luck to you too! You’re applying to Stern right?
