I am ED I to NYU. Not sure yet about the major but likely the engineering school for general engineering or physics. I am currently a junior, and I live in new jersey. My weakest point is definitely by gpa, which is about a 3.3 uw and a 3.6 weighted. But i have a 1480 sat and looking to improve as much as possible (taking again). I have good extracurriculars, such as volunteering in India and an internship in new york city at an engineering firm. Looking to get reach letters from my honors and ap physics teacher, India volunteering counselor, nyc internship superior, and school guidance counselor. Planning on taking physics and math subject tests, trying to score nearly perfect on both. Will also have a few 4’s and 5’s on ap exams by the time i graduate (likely 2 this year and 2 or 3 more next year). Feel like my chances are low mainly because of my grades, but what are my chances? Anything i can do besides get my grades up to improve them. I am going to apply ED I so i know that helps. thanks in advance.
Applying ED will definitely help, but your grades are of a concern. Make sure your common app essay and supplement really personify your application, that’ll help.
