Chance me please for NYU, thanks.

I would like to know my chances of getting into NYU, no specific program just the school.
I plan to apply ED to further increase my chances.

I'm not so sure of my GPA on a 4.0 scale, but I have a 89.7 transcript average through my highschool years. My school does not rank, nor weigh grades for AP or honor classes.
I know my gpa isn't great but it shows a steady increase from freshmen to junior year. Starting from mid 80s to low 90s.
My school is a specialized high school in the nyc region which requires a test to get in. It is currently ranked the 20th school out of 1000 on a national scale.

SAT I:
Reading: 630
Math: 720
Writing : 680 (Essay:11)
Total: 2030

SAT II:
Physics: 710
Mathematics IIC: 740

I plan to take the ACT's just to give it a shot, and I will probably score around 30~32.

I am part of the Golf Team in my school for 2 years. Math Team 1 year.
Decent recommendations from science/math and liberal arts teachers.
I volunteered at a hospital for about 100 hours during the summer of my junior year. (currently doing so for more hours.)
I am taking AP Physics B, and AP Calculus AB during my senior year.

Please chance me in my chances of getting into NYU if I were to apply ED.

I think your EC’s are pretty ubiquitous for the average college applicant, although your SAT might put you in LSP even if you applied ED. I also would like to state that if financial aid is at all a problem for you, then you should apply RD instead of ED. Your SAT II’s are good, and if you get a better ACT score than SAT score, then send that instead.

Look up NYU’s new standardized testing policy.

I figured my gpa and EC and test scores were all around mediocre and nothing exceptional, so I thought that applying ED would give me an advantage. Would I even have a chance if I were to apply RD intead of ED?
The actual question really is, how much does ED help?

Wow, your stats are frighteningly similar to mine. I have an 89.66 GPA and 1980 SAT (730 M, 570 CR, 680 W - will retake in Oct). I took AP Stats (5) and APUSH (4) this year, and I’m taking AP Calc AB and AP Macro next year. I was also thinking of applying ED to NYU, but I’m not completely sure about it. Do you go to bronx HS of science?

I say they’ll put you in LSP because of your SAT scores even with ED.

I would also try and add some EC’s in the next year.

TempMike doesn’t know what he/she is talking about.
