Is everyone who has been getting these Albert changes also gotten the interest email? Or are these just random changes going on in Albert
Has anyone else rec’d an email asking if they were committed to attending CAS?
@Maggio528 I did on Monday and responded but haven’t heard anything back have you?
@jomarch i am in the exact same situation as you! I am super anxious and just emailed them back again! Have you heard anything yet?
@Backshe9 - my daughter never received any email other than the waitlist confirmation. I asked because I’ve only seen one CAS “interest email” post, but multiple related posts for Stern, Gallatin, etc; so seeing that NYU admissions has also sent out feelers for CAS concerns me…
@Maggio528 yeah I have no idea I’ve gotten two emails so far since submitting the waitlist form. But according to the blog post I think there are more CAS offers coming out soon since the dean didn’t mention it was one of the full schools.
@Maggio528 you have seen interest emails for Stern and Gallatin? The admissions blog said that they are closed though, I think.
I see no changes on my Albert and I got an interest email on the 4th for CAS. I replied back positively but still no further word…
@yankeechick02 They just said to be on the look out for more information and that it’ll be sent out early next week!
Same for me but with Poly
@qpgier
I got a likely email if thats what they are calling it lol for poly
@Mimi2415 Congrats, but damn for me.
Yeah, I got an email saying that there may be space available in CAS, but financial aid may not be offered–pretty much what the other’s emails say. I replied positively, and I got a thank-you reply within 10 minutes. My portal still hasn’t changed yet, though.
Did anyone hear anything from Steinhardt yet?
My son also received the confirmation email last month and an update email. I am concerned too that there are interest emails sent for CAS this week and my son didn’t hear anything yet. NYU is his top choice and he is still hopeful. I told him to move on since they probably sent out the emails this week for the 250 available spots in NY. He is very upset but he can always transfer after a year from NJIT(Computer Engineering). We do not need financial aid because my employer pays 100% tuition for him.
@Wish4ever That’s some perk!
Yes, it is. They still didn’t consider him, anyway He would have heard by now. I guess it depends on the number of people on the waitlist and the available spots for each school. Someone on the waitlist was offered financial aid even though they said they exhausted all the funds. I am not sure how they determine who gets off the waitlist since it is not ranked. My son checked the NYU system which didn’t change. Congrats and best wishes to everyone who got off the waitlist!
@Wish4ever That is confusing - how do colleges in general take people off of the waitlist if it isn’t ranked?
Were the update/interest emails sent to people who only applied for financial aid?
I got an interest email for Poly! And I didn’t apply for financial aid!
