I'm really interested in their programs, but I'm afraid I'm not up to their standards. It seems they just require the regular NYU admissions process, except with an additional two subject tests? I have no idea. If anybody could enlighten me, it'd be much appreciated because I have no idea what they want.

I'm graduating next year (2013) with the majority of my classes being honors courses. I have had a few APs (Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, Calculus, etc.) but I didn't get 5s so I don't know if they really count towards my classes.

I'm a female and asian, if that counts for anything.

My current GPA is a 91 (my school doesn't use the 4 point scale).

My SAT superscore is 2020, but the highest actual SAT I've had was 2000. I heard NYU superscores, but nothing's ever certain in this world...

My main concern is my lack of extracurricular activities. I'm an active participant in JROTC, have a staff position, and am the commander of a competing team within the program. However, JROTC only counts as one extracurricular, even though there are many subgroups within it. It was the only true extracurricular I was involved in and I'm afraid it's not enough. I do have many volunteer hours through it, as well as the hours I had from volunteering at a science center. Still, compared to my classmates who have like four sports, two clubs, AND JROTC, I feel pretty inadequate.

I'm planning on taking the two subject tests this October.

Sorry this is so long! I've been worrying about this for the longest time and finally decided to ask.

I'm also considering just going to my state school for nursing because NYU's pretty expensive (even though it's close enough that I can just commute). Thoughts?
