NYU Courant Institute vs CU Boulder for Computer Science?

I was admitted to both CU Boulder and NYU Courant and I’m try to decide between the two for CS.

NYU would cost roughly $18-19k per year and CU would cost around $6k.

My main reasoning toward favoring NYU despite the higher cost is that it’s graduate program for CS is ranked higher than Boulder’s by USNews (#29 for NYU and #40 for CU) and I think that the higher ranking may help for graduate school admissions. I plan to go to grad school directly out of college so this is important, and although I’ve been told that undergrad school prestige is not very important I feel like the quality of the education at NYU might be better. Also, CS is taught out of the Courant Institute which is held in very high prestige worldwide.

I’m not sure which school would have better research opportunities for an undergraduate but I would think CU would because it is such a large research institution.

Thoughts?

NYU, especially if it’d be 18K per year (most kids would fall off their chair for such an offer from NYU, they must REALLY want you.) Courant Institute is one of the premier math institutes in the country. it’s not a matter of prestige, but rather a matter of how advanced the classes will be.
What math class are you currently taking? What’s your experience with CS?
