NYU Early Decision 1 Class of 2022!

Yeah, I don’t think many people have switched the way I did, but because I applied through commonapp as a regular decision applicant, I never signed an ED agreement which I’ve heard is a thing, so I don’t know if I should call to ask about that. But don’t worry about housing change or financial aid change, I’ve read through almost every NYU thread from previous years, and it usually doesn’t happen this early, but apparently, they don’t always indicate an acceptance. I think you will be fine, and hopefully we’ll all get to go to NYU

@GiannaC3 I definitely don’t think that switching will have a negative impact on your application. If anything, like @nyuhopeful44 said it will show that your interest in NYU has increased which obviously isn’t a bad thing.

@nyuhopeful44 yes its for Abu Dhabi
Do you know someone who did?

@excited18 no I don’t, I actually don’t know anyone who applied to AD campus. Maybe the FA change has to do with the school you applied to. Has anyone gotten it for CAS or LSP?

I don’t think the FA changes this early. Does it?

@GiannaC3 on Monday my FA had the table and it said 2019… financial aid year 2018-2019, but then I checked again the next day and it still had the table but now it said 2019… inquiry access denied. so that was probably just like a glitch in the system because like you said I don’t think the FA change happens this early

can anyone log into this?

Yeah, as long as you use your netID and password

@GiannaC3 :slight_smile:
what do you get when you click on your profile?

@cday767 it just says “nothing to see here yet!” So you can login into NYU home but since we haven’t been admitted, we don’t have access to anything on it.

19 more days everyone!

@goldfishy19 2019 with inquiry access denied is the FA change. @GiannaC3 FA changes have already started.

@goldfishy19 and on the accept/decline if it says “award access not available” that is also the change

@HerNameisAmazon I haven’t gotten a change yet, but I’m not expecting to get one so soon because I submitted by noncustodial profile really late. But did anyone else get a change? I heard that in some years people got changes and were rejected so I don’t know how reliable a change is, in terms of guaranteed admission.

@nyuhopeful44 I thought it was 17 more days lol.

@GiannaC3 it’s 18 more days lol and also, I turned in my noncustodial css profile around 3 or 2 days before the deadline, and I received the FA change maybe that same week or the next week. According to other threads, the change happens once the admissions team pass an admitted student through to the financial aid office. So if the theory is true, I wouldn’t trip about not seeing a change yet.

does FA change affect me if I didn’t apply for FA?

did any one get housing changes yet?

@HerNameisAmazon 19 including today, I posted that this morning lol
No FA change yet for me. I really really really hope it’s not a rejection

@HerNameisAmazon I thought the FA change was something like “no self-service aid…” I thought most people just started off with the inquiry access denied thing. I have the inquiry access denied and also have award access not available, but I dont think that is the FA change
