yo guys so I checked my housing portal this morning (China time), and my DOB and nyu email appeared on the profile summary section. They were blank when I checked two days ago, so yeahā¦ not sure they indicate anything though.
However, the housing status did not change from non-renewable to freshmen.
Itās either they update the information in waves, or this whole housing portal thing is just nonsense
@lolsaz31 the housing change only counts if it changes from nonrenewable to freshmen. And it usually comes out just before the actual release date. I donāt think itās something to worry abt
im from ny and i got the fa change to 2018. it might not mean anything though. i have not gotten the housing change yet but i dont think anyone will until right before they release decisions.
anyone who do not apply for financial aid get the FA change?
@pleaseaccepted I have the chart, but only for years 2016 and 2017 and beside the dates it says āAward access not available.ā
Only two more days! Lets stop stressing about indicators. What would you guys do if rejected or if accepted?
oh u dont apply for FA? can you screenshot the chart and post it on drive or photobucket and send the link? im so sorry for any inconvenience but im so desperate
if i was accepted, iād cry and if i was rejected, iād cry. there really wonāt be no clear indicator for family and friends to see if i got in cause either way iād be a blubbering mess! but yes, i will get accepted into NYU so the thought of rejection is free from my life rn
@sofialicir haha i tell my parents the same thing! No matter what outcome ill probably be crying too 
idk what will happen thursday, but ive come to peace knowing whatever happens is fate
If i get in Iāll laugh about the number of mental break downs and crying i did about the decisions and how silly it wasā¦If i get rejected Iāll props cry but as the decision date gets closerā¦reality is hitting in that you can be sad forever

I canāt go an hour without having a fright regarding decisions day. Really trying to stay calm as we approach the day, but it has been difficult.

I havenāt prepared myself for rejectionā¦ no backup plans apart from some very safe schools I applied EA :(:(
im high key really nervousā¦ i felt as if i had a shot of making it in but while scrolling through this thread i realized that i might not be in luck. im applying to cas and i have a 27 on the act and a 3.7 gpa, i go to a private school in florida (one of the best) and they usually accept about half of the applicants that apply from my school to nyu (last year about 46 applied and 19 were accepted) so itās safe to say that nyu really favors my school. i have good extracurriculars and my essays are baller but im not sure if thats gonna be enough. my academic rigor has been on an upward trend since freshman year but i just wanna know if i actually have a shot
@asaprorita i know NYU really values students who take a lot of AP classes (at my school, if you donāt take AP classes, youāll sink so Iāve taken like 8 so far, 13 in total) and your GPA is high in regards to NYU, where the average for freshmen is 3.5+. your ACT is kinda low, as the 25th-75th percentile is 29-31, but if your essays are good enough, youāll have a shot! iām the only one applying ED to NYU from my school this year (last year two applied and both got in) so hopefully iāll get in! the other two applying RD are applying for tisch (iām applying for CAS). so far weāve done what we could have and now all we have to do is keep a positive demeanor towards any situation!
@sofialicir yea i think there are only one or two other kids eding from my school and about 20 kids rd so far, but dude after reading all these comments of people saying ed doesnt even matter to nyu itās really freaking me out like im dying hahah. nyu is a reaaaally popular choice here in miami since kids usually go from one big city to another and new york is like the closest huge city to us. i know they have to accept at least some kinda weak students compared to all these geniuses so i know i have a chance . @sofialicir and about the ap thing, my school is super hard academically so the only year ive been able to take aps has been this year and ive only taken two, but i legit have been in all honors classes every year and ive managed to get bs in some and as in some. im just a hella average student and thats what i fear the most
