@Anbu1998
It was like 8k per year. Nothing huge but still helps. I hope the falsa stuff gives me 10k more at least

guys can you send a screenshot of your scholarship info

@Hiitslawrence Horrible financial aid is par for the course at NYU. A great senior from our school last year was offered just $25K in scholarships and the rest in subsidised and unsubsidised loans as well as PLUS loans, whereas they got virtually a free ride at Columbia and Pomona. Some students get great financial aid but it is a rarity.

@EngineerGeek Congrats! As my people have repeatedly cautioned, the people who tell you that your scores are too low have no inside information and are generally applicants too. It’s all pure speculation. And as you have happily experienced, it is often wrong too. .

Thank you so much!! @exlibris97

Congratulations to everyone who got in! So excited :slight_smile:
I was wondering, is it too late to submit application for FA after being admitted early?

Accepted to STERN!!!
3.8 GPA
28 act

I was deferred, so they want to review my application again with the regular decision pool. The email said I was “still a serious contender for admission”, but I don’t really know what that means. On one of their admissions blogs they said they defer around 100 people.

I know two kids from my school that got in, and while both of them were qualified, I thought I was just as qualified/maybe even more qualified. The only thing holding me back was my SAT math score- my highest was 530 on the old SAT (I know… really bad). However, I didn’t apply to Stern or Tandon or anything having to do with math/science, and got a 740 on the reading section and 760 on the writing section, which is what I intended to major in (Media, culture, and communications in Steinhardt). Do you think NYU held me back just because of my math score? Should I be hopeful that they’ll still admit me later on or just take it as a rejection and apply to less selective schools elsewhere.

Sorry this is long, I just don’t know what to do next. I took three of the old SAT (last one I took was in January 2016) so it’s not like I’m going to retake the SAT again just for a better math score. NYU is my #1 school and I’m willing to apply to other schools within in like CAS or Liberal studies but I just want to know if I have a chance.
Please respond if you have any advice, and congrats to those who got in.

I don’t have a link to view my decision in Albert? I click on Application Status, but it just shows that I submitted my transcripts and test scores??

OMG TISCH 2021!!! APPLIED TO CLIVE AND GOT INTO PERFORMANCE STUDIES BUT YAYAYAY
