I applied to NYU early decision, (CAS) -fingers crossed- but I was just wondering if ALL the decisions for the application are given out on one day? Or can I expect an email earlier than the date they posted on the website? Should I periodically check my NYU home login? (Albert)

The decision release date is December 13th, and the website claims that all will be released by 5:00 EST. While some may be released maybe earlier that day, I don’t think any decisions will be released before that.

I have pasted this here in case it is helpful.
Earlier this week I reported that admission decisions will be mailed on December 15. We are now ahead of schedule and will, in fact, be able to mail admission decisions via email on December 13 beginning in the very early (pre-dawn) hours. I highlight “beginning” because we do stagger the release of admission decisions to ensure for optimal delivery without errors. It will take us the course of the entire day on December 13 to send admission decisions. We cannot predict exactly when you will receive your admission decision via email. We can only ensure that it will be sent before the end of the day on December 13.

Again, all admission decisions will be sent via email and no decisions will ever be available anywhere on our website. Admitted students will also be mailed a packet of information on Friday, December 13.

We will begin to release admission decisions over the phone on Monday, December 16, beginning at 9am. We will only release decisions to students who are able to provide identification information.

We thank all of our applicants (and their families!) in advance for their patience. We very much empathize with your anxiety and interest in receiving your admission decision as soon as possible.
