I’m still kinda confused… about the deadlines

If I submit my common app to the school by next week for ED II, when is the latest date I can submit all the scores? Cos my college guidance counselor is doing that for me…

ED2 - Jan 1 postmarked

i really dont know…

i havent done SAT and probably will not. i will take TOEFL(yes… it is late, but…) in December so I can apply on European, and some USA’s colleges and uni’s which do not require SAT for internationals…

Chance me

At 19, I was one of the youngest managers anyone had seen. After two years I determined this was not the right career for me and re-enrolled in school during spring of 2011

How good were all of your essays?
Looking back, I think my common app essay was really strong, but a couple of my supplements probably could have been better.

My essays are very strong, currently being proofread by an English professor. I described my whole struggle growing up and not knowing what I wanted with my life then when my spark hit I became determined and have a 3.86 since coming back to school. No pansie classes acct 202, micro/ macro, world civ, psychology, sports management.

anything new?

1 month exactly until we hear back… oh my god I can’t believe we have to wait an entire month. i’m going crazy haha

Haha I know, it’s torture! I’m really jealous of my friends who only have to wait a couple more weeks…their ED response is December 1st. I know it’s only 2 weeks less, but that’s a lot to me. I’m not patient when it comes to this :P

NYU emailed my counsellor two days ago for more information about me and my grades. So nervous!

My heart beats at an exponentially faster rate every day as I wait.

@cliffhanger33 if you don’t mind me asking, what were your sat scores? I’m nervous that they’re going to ask my counselor for my grades too because my sats are low

oh my god… are you serious?! I hope my guidance counselor doesn’t get a similar email. My SAT is pretty good in comparison to my GPA (2170 SAT vs 3.58 GPA) so hopefully not? My first quarter senior grades aren’t the best … :

Yeah people who don’t mind sharing, do you want to do something like:

School in NYU you applied for:
Major:
SATs and/or ACTs:
GPA:

I’ll start

School: Steinhardt
Major: MCC
SAT: 2030, ACT: 30
GPA: My school does a 4.5 scale, so mine is a 3.87 (Naviance shows NYU’s average GPA on my school’s scale as a 3.83). Weighted I have a 4.13

Sure! Already posted my stats but I’ll do the new template.

School: CAS
Major: Journalism
SAT: 2170 (700 CR/670 M/800 W)
GPA: 3.58/4 unweighted… have taken 5 APs and a couple of honors courses but I have no idea what my weighted GPA is because my school only calculates unweighted.

@ Meg

I am submittng my IB Diploma Scores to NYU for my standardized test. My GC did not specify what my scores were for each subject on the common app, so one of the adcoms emailed my GC asking for a more specific breakdown of each score of my subject, something about how they are trying to make a decision for me etc. Not sure, but pretty nerve racking.

School in NYU you applied for:
Major: Stern
IB Score: 40/45
GPA: 3.96 (IB school does not officially do GPA, but according to transcript all A’s, one B)

Not sure about my chances, especially coz I’m international, but dam I’m nervous! Good luck to everyone!

You guys look like very strong applicants!
