NYU ED1 Discussion Thread

I doubt it. It’s most likely some mistake. I googled a rejection letter, and inserted my name -_- i don’t deal very well with rejection. Lol. And sure

(AP Scholar, “Honor” in National Forensics League, Editor in Cheif of School Paper, Class Rep. for Student Gov, Treasurer of Key Club, Vice President of Green Team, NHS, JV/Varsity Volleyball, Volunteer @ Animal Shelter, Model @ Abercrombie & Fitch)

Oh & I’m hispanic and from an Abbott district which basically states that, “public primary and secondary education in poor communities throughout the state was unconstitutionally substandard.”

alvclaudia, your application is VERY impressive with the exception of your SAT scores.

I truly think you got into LSP; students with good gpa and ECs and below average test scores are most commonly put in LSP. 3 more days and we’ll know for sure.

Aw. Sweet guys! !! Congratulations for u… now just wait for The official acceptance letter… I am so nervous

those of you who seem to be LSP’ed, that seems like a really good sign to me. i hope it’s all in your favor! i just went to check mine and it stayed the same. kind of glad, i feel like i’d be in a dilemma if i got accepted but not to the program i wanted to. so i’m either accepted or rejected. can’t wait until thursday!

Did anyone else unfortunately mistake the nyu holiday card letter for an early admissions decision letter?

When did that come out? I didn’t get one.

Hey! I went on my Albert and my program changed to GLS too!!! I applied to CAS for journalism, and my stats are very similar to the other people here in the same boat (4.0 weighted gpa, 1940 sat, 30 act, lots of leadership and extracurriculars). I have been doing some research on the GLS program and it sounds really amazing to me! I don’t want to get too excited or anything, but why would they change our albert if we weren’t accepted?! Hopefully this isn’t some sick joke!!!

I am asserting that this was some sick joke. I refuse to believe it. I can’t, rather, I won’t believe it. :/

I received a card saying ed in November, but I am not sure if it us the same ones… I received the cards from nyu and nyu Abu dhabi , and a booklet

So far it seems like only CAS people who have been changed to GLS…maybe they’re the first school to update that. I do think it’s a good sign for you guys!

We all seem to have strong stats, and coincidentally we all applied for journalism O.o I too think we were admitted under GSP, there would be no other reason why it would just randomly change. I emailed them so hopefully I get a response soon.

I think eljamas is the only CAS Journalism applicant that wasn’t changed to GLS. They was probably accepted straight to CAS  I still think it maight be some glitch in their system, why would they update it now? Aren’t decisions going out in like 3 days?

You were probably **

Once we are admitted we still have to do stuff in Albert so they probably changed the program we were admitted under BEFORE decisions are released which would make sense. I hate this feeling though its like knowing your accepted but not really knowing. It would definitely suck if it turns out I got rejected :(. I refuse to celebrate just yet.

Stern stern stern stern! Please ! A lettet of acceptance and a great financial aid package will be my best Christmas present ever!!

AHHHH does this mean I’m still an applicant for CAS?! Albert says I’m still applying for econ+Comp sci.

@heartlife oh i am so with you there haha especially the financial aid. I applied to tisch film and tv and my albert hasnt changed either… gah i just want to know already!

2 days, 22 hours, 21 minutes, and 34 seconds

I know how that feels. When u receive a email from financial aid I was like -um… did u get in? Is so useless to look at my financial aid if I got deny… but… Nah… I was wrong

***when I received
