I don’t think they’re still reading any applications or that when you send in your application affects when you hear back at NYU. I’d imagine that they’re just preparing the packages/making sure the servers

I have no idea though. This is just wishful thinking; I really want my decision at 5pm.

I am overthinking every single aspect of my application to Stern, especially my SAT. If i don’t get in, i’d be absolutely devastated. Do any of you think that a 2110 super scored, but 1360 combined (650 CR + 710 M) is low for stern? I read their average is like 1450… My GPA is 97.5 weighted. Oh God please stern! accept me already! =)

Welcome to college Admissions. It frequently makes no sense and leaves many people frustrated. I personally can attest to that having gotten into Emory, but not Cornell and Duke but not Columbia; it often makes no sense. Just wait until you get around to graduate school applications. It’s like undergraduate admissions all over again, only far worse.

To everyone else:

It’s my understanding that Early Decisions are posted tomorrow. To all of you who have applied, I wish you the best of luck.

To those of you who will be admitted:
Congratulations! Feel free to PM me with any questions you might have; I’ll most likely be able to answer any of your questions as pertains to scheduling/registration/financial aid/majors/housing/etc.

To those who will have not been admitted:
Don’t worry! It’s not the end of the world. It might feel like it is, but I promise it’s not. Look at your other options, apply to schools just as good as NYU and chance is, you’ll get into at least one of them. After a year or two, you’ll be more than satisfied with your choice, even if NYU did reject you.

…wow literally just found this thread after constantly looking for one since like october…i’m so nervous. i honestly don’t know where else i’d apply if i don’t get in. columbia? does that even make any sense to do? sigh

It’s highly unlikely that if NYU rejects you that you would stand any measurable chance at Columbia. Their acceptance rate, as I have read, was a mere 6.4% for this past year.

Gonna spend tonight curled up with a mug of hot chocolate and turn up the Christmas music. I hope, from the bottom of my heart, that everyone gets in.

Good luck everyone, we’ll know soon enough:) theres nothing we can do about it now, so everyone just try to relax and get some sleep, it’ll make tomorrow come faster at least! Whatever happens happens, and im sure that even if we dont get into nyu we’ll find somewhere else that will make us just as happy. So dont stress out too much guys! The long wait and anxiety is almost over! Again, good luck to everyone, cant wait til 5 pm tomorrow!

Personally I really hope we alll just get in haha

.::confidence is boosted slightly::.
Thanks for the feedback heartlife and nyjetsknicks! Good luck to you two and everyone else tomorrow! I’ll say a prayer for us all. [:

what’s even more painful is i have 3 tests tomorrow (which I haven’t studied for yet) and NHS Induction which ends at 8PM. I’m gonna be in school when I’m checking it. I really hope all of you get in to whichever school you all wanted to go to. Good luck everybody.
