I honestly have not found an example of someone whose FA did not change and was accepted on this forum. If someone could find me one it could give me some relief.

Is there any examples of the financial aid changing and the applicant not being accepted? Or the applicant being wait listed?

I hope you’re right, and thank you for the input @leggggy

does anyone know if peoples FA statuses are still changing or did all the potentially accepted students have their change yesterday/today?

Mine did not change! Oh wells i saw this coming :(

here’s a better question: has anyone seen “financial aid pending” or “financial aid awarded?”
It seems like everyone who got updated didn’t get financial aid. So what about ppl that did? Then again, I’m not even sure if its possible to get FA with ED at NYU since other than its prestige, its known for its stinginess.

Well they are not admitted yet. That is why no financial aid is showing up. But, rumor has it that if the 2014 appears you got in. If it does not appear by tonight it most likely indicates a rejection. I am still waiting for it to change on my Albert :(

My FA year changed to 2014 and I was accepted EDI. Keep in mind that not everyone’s FA is going to change at the same time though. The 2014 may be a positive sign though.

To anyone who also applied to LSP… if Albert suddenly changes your account from CAS to LSP, then this might be a sign that you have been accepted into LSP. I originally applied to CAS (also applied to LSP) and my account switched to LSP before I was accepted ultimately into LSP. :)

Good-luck everyone! I know how anxious and stressed out everyone must be right now!

do you remember how close to the decision day it switched, by any chance?

8 days…!

I see on the ED forum that a lot of applicants who had their FA status to “2014 Award Access Not Available” were rejected. AHHH.

I know this might still be a little while away, but for those of you that are really antsy, on the day of the decision, before the email is sent out, there is a definite indication on the application status page if you’ve been admitted.

Around 2:30 pm CST, I logged onto Albert and on the application status page there was a little green button at the top right of the page that said “admission offer” which said “Congratulations! We are delighted to offer you admission to New York University” and other things like that. I then received the email around 3pm CST. So basically, you won’t really be able to decode these clues until about half an hour before.

@aeisrael Really? I havent seen that yet, can you provide specific links or examples?

IVYGOLFER do you mind posting your stats? If you are extremely qualified then probably only people who got in had the FA change =o

@rmui6768
Sure here is a brief wrap up
SAT: 2240/ 1510 (CR+M)
UW GPA: 3.5 ish?? Weak, but upward trend
Very unique business/finance related ECs
Good recs/ essays

So I would say I am an average to below average Stern applicant IMO that is why I am surprised I was given the FA change. Maybe they liked my ECs and scores?? I can only hope.

@IvyGolfer

Wow I have exactly the same stats as you, but I applied to CAS.

I went onto the EDI thread, searched in the “thread search” box the words: award access. Then I looked at the usernames that had come up, clicked on them, and saw that in their later posts, they said they got rejected. :(

I am really worried now…

@thextractor I remember my FA year changed from 2013 to 2014 a few days before the official decision came out, along with the change to LSP as well. My FA year was 2014 and there was a message saying, “No self-service access available.”

Aeisrael-thought you have the 2014 message? If so that is supposed to be the positive message. Why are you worried?

Mine still hasn’t changed. I guess that’s that then.

@chschauf1 I have the 2014 message, but I still am worried because it’s college admissions! It always feels so much like a crapshoot :(

Does anyone have the “no self-service access available” message yet?
