@paradiseeee I tried to access the student tab and it says I am not authorized to this page. I guess if you could access the page, that might be an indication of acceptance.
@keeksc2014 I don’t think it is any indication…try to open the tab using other browsers
Probably still haven’t review my app yet, I called them today and they said I’m missing the college report, just submitted today. They didn’t let me know before, so I guess some of the applications are still behind like me. I submitted my app on early March.
My application status high school transcript hasn’t check off yet, called them they said they will fix it, but didn’t see any change hopefully won’t hurt.
I really want to ask them if my application is under review now. I dont know if they would tell me
@waffle111 My high school transcript/ged was not checked off either so I called today and she was able to see she had it and she fixed it while we were on the phone. So I would not worry. f they told you they have it updated, it means they can see that for review, even if not reflected in your portal
@nerdycatjenni I am in the same boat… having to put down a deposit on a school if I do not hear from NYU in time. I looked into this extensively, it is okay to put down a deposit while waiting to hear from another school. Private schools just take longer and it sucks. Yes, it does mean if NYU accepts you and you go there instead of the school you put a deposit on that you loose that deposit, but in the long wrong, while you are making money in your dream career
@nyrider i applied for mcc as well!
@paradiseeee i’m actually not seeing the housing deposit option either?
Okay so now I am worried, my Common App says I submitted my application April 2nd, Eastern Time. However, I submitted my application at like…11:52pm in my time zone, Central Time…do you guys think this means NYU didn’t accept it or something??
@closec i applied as an undergraduate, but the same thing happened to me! their system is based in eastern time, so they received mine past the deadline as well. they seem to allow a gap period for processing applications, because they later confirmed that mine had gone through (despite appearing to be a day late on my Common App) and i was recently informed of my admittance :~)
contact NYU admissions directly and they can tell you if they’ve received your application. best wishes!
Did anyone submit materials (high school transcript, sat scores) before they submitted their actual application? My high school sent my transcripts about 3 weeks before I submitted my application. Is that okay or should I have them send it again?
it seems to me that most people who applied to Steinhardt are MCC Major?
@nyrider, as long as you contact with them to make sure they have indeed received your transcripts, i think it’s okay. . I also sent my transcripts before I submitted my apps on common system. I contacted with their admission office after the deadline, and they confirmed with me that my apps were complete.
Has anyone heard back today? It is Tuesday. Shouldn’t they release some decisions, according to their Tu/Thu tradition?
@paradiseeee Do u have the housing form channel on the NYU home page? I think only admitted students have that.
@CooperJuniorI I am literally checking my email every minute but nothing yet:(
@keeksc2014 have that in NYUHome-Academic-Albert Login-Student tab…that tab shows up since Saturday so I doubt that it is any indication. Probably just some system errors.
i honestly thought somebody would have received an admission by now according to past threads…
@paradiseeee I still think that’s an indication according to last year’s thread. Someone got admitted several days later after the housing application showed up. @frenchie2729 Same here… So far we only know one person got in last Thursday.
I just called NYU admission regarding midterm report for freshmen applicants, she told me sometimes they ask you , sometimes they don’t. What does she mean though… I think if this is required item, it should be required for all the freshmen applicants… I think
@penguinpop Awh congrats!!! Thank you for answering my question, I feel way more at ease now
@yyyyyyyy, midterm report is not always required according to the common application. So as long as the admission office hasn’t sent your email to remind you that, I think you are fine, or at least it will not hurt your application.
