10/10 Recommendation from an English teacher. She is known for writing amazing essays and She likes me a lot.
10/10 Recommendation from an Art teacher. She has been teaching me for 3 years and She loves me.

College counselor recommendation. I dont know. She doesnt know me well, she seemed cold to everyone. I would say 6/10

Great common app essay - talked about how I didn’t fit into Japanese society and how international environment helped me grow as a person. also wrote about how I gained objective view to Japanese society and how I adore it.

NYU essay I would say 9/10 - I read one of the NYU professors book and talked about how NYU is perfect for an International student who loves international enviroment. didnt talk about NYC and stuff.

Great art portfolio. Many of my art pieces are the reflection on Japanese society and my feelings towards to it.

My 10th grade IGCSE grades were terrible.
NO financial aid

I am very concerned about my grades…

I read somewhere that the average IB points for NYU is 38 or 39. Film is very competitive there and I think being an international student will put you at a disadvantage. Your ECs are impressive, but some seem kind of odd. Art trip to Europe? Like did you go with your school or as part of a program? If you just went on a trip and went to art museums, I think all that that says is that you have money. I don’t really consider that an EC, unless you got some sort of class credit for it, but I don’t know, maybe others do. I don’t know much about the way your schools like yours work with gpa and stuff like that, but NYU is definitely a reach.

@jennacwa thank you for the reply. I was rejected… but I will be attending Northeastern! i think lol
