@203267422 Thank you! Best of luck to you I hope we can all formerly meet through HEOP.
@Jjkook1 I’m not sure in all honestly. But it seems to me that it’s based on when you send your application. I compared when I sent my apps vs. when I heard from schools and I’m pretty sure thats how things work.
@203267422 I thought it was from 1000-1250. 1300 is a bit too high.
I had like a 83 freshman year, 84 soph, and 85 junior year LOL! Upward trend but barley. I was very lazy but it was until I found NYU and I decided that I really wanted to get in so I worked hard and now have a 93 gpa senior year while taking AP/College/ and Honor classes.( I was in honors starting junior year). I wonder how much mid years mean to them because I would definitely want them to take my improvements into consideration.
Definitely make sure your school sends or has sent that mid year report. It is important. I did not apply EDI because I wanted them to see my mid year report. The report + the fact that you are taking AP/Honor/College classes shows that you are not “giving up” or breezing by senior year. @savagescholar
@oneLnottwo thank you! I hope we can meet through heop omg. I have send you an email. Your sister is so meant to be in nyu with you!
Also, this is random but reach out to the admissions counselor assigned to your area. I spoke to like three with questions I had. (You can find this on NYU’s website or just google search “nyu admissions counselors.” Emails and areas are listed). Though potentially only one counselor is reading your app, they could bring it up to the committee. And then they could advocate for you. They get a lot of emails but if you don’t ask them a general question and if you stress how grateful you are for their time, a light will flicker if they hear your name. I always included the high school I currently go to and my entire name (not just my first) in the email, just in case. That info alone I’m pretty sure is enough for them to search for your application. Again, this doesn’t necessarily “guarantee” anything but I really think its a good move.
@ChloeMartinez that’s so sweet of you! I haven’t received anything. Just double check it was sent to the right email
@oneLnottwo ahhh that’s a nice idea!!! Thank you for the advice!!! You’re the sweet one i send another email
@Jjkook1 you’re probably right, I might be mistaking it with Cornell’s HEOP
Is it true that every Tuesday is gonna be invitation release day? Btw, is anyone considering c-step as an alternative?
@jjkookie From my experience and what I know, I wouldn’t say the Tuesday thing for emails is true
@jjkookie I got mines on Thursday or Wednesday…
@203267422 last week? guys, how many interview dates do you guys think heop offers?
@ChloeMartinez yeah last week
So I’m planning to go to the NYU HEOP office and convince them to invite me for an interview. For those who already did the interview: What is the address of where the interview is located? Ty!
@jjkookie can we pls go together to give each other company? I think the interview is set at the welcome center. Not particularly sure
@ChloeMartinez I’m not 100% sure if I’m going or not though . If I go, I’ll tell you
@jjkookie yeah it’s at the welcome center. Good Luck if you guys go!
Now why would you guys do that? That’s like forcing them to give you admissions. That’ll leave a bad taste in their mouth
@savagescholar true, depending on they approach the situation.
