@ChloeMartinez I found out today that my boss wants me to intern for the rest of the week so I can’t go… Perhaps it’s a better idea not to like @savagescholar mentioned. I’m already losing hope for HEOP and I’m not expecting anything anymore

Hey guys, the interview was fun, but they interviewer I had barely wanted to let us finish our answers lol, and they said the they pick potential qualified students based on their application, next is the interview and financial outlook… But I can still get rejected lol… Tbh they way they were speaking at the info session was like “hey, you’re most likely already accepted” which really sucks because you’d think you’d get accepted and then get rejected
@203267422 ahh congrats! It sounds like they already accepted you! What parts of the application do they consider?I’m super confused because they accept a range of students from 1400 to 1900. I’m right in the middle :’) not sure how to feel about this.
Lol not yet,I heard they accept like 2% of the interviewed students! They consider everything so if you’re not chosen it might be because of your essay or whatev… Did you call them to ask if your application was referred to heop?

Alright, I’m kind of late to the party, but I’m getting a little nervous about not hearing back at all about being considered for HEOP.
My stats:
GPA: 87
SAT: 1920 (640 math, 620 critical reading, 660 writing)
I also did a summer at Girls Who Code and I hope this shows them that I already have prior experience in computer science. I’m also in my school’s national art honor society, math honor society, and have two internships. My family’s income qualifies for HEOP.
Are my chances ok?
My last name begins with a W, by the way. So I’m really hoping they’re doing these interviews in alphabetical order and just haven’t gotten to sending me an email yet.

Yes you can ask them that, also I read from previous threads that ppl have been accepted without interviews, but that doesn’t make any sense to me, so I would call and ask them, if you want a honest answer!!!
