NYU- is it true if rejected you can't apply again?

I just read somewhere else that if you apply to NYU and are rejected, you are not eligible to apply again (for example, if you take the year following high school graduation off and want to re-apply during that year off). Is this true?

That is not true.

You can apply whenever you want. (Unless you're talking about getting rejected EA, and then applying RD.. if so, that's not possible)

But the point is, you can still apply for admission the following year.. anywhere.

However, you should convince them that you were not really wasting your time during your "off" period after graduation.

Why not consider any other universities though?

You have to wait a year to apply again but it's certainly possible then.
