NYU: is the Stern School for Business more selective than Steinhardt?

I'm planning on applying to NYU, which is my #1 choice when it comes to college, and I was wondering if it is harder to get into Stern than Steinhardt. I would love to work in the fields of Marketing or Public Relations, and I figure that I can get a solid education in either of those areas both at Stern and Steinhardt. I would rather study marketing than media, culture, and communication, but I want to know if it is safer to apply to Steinhardt...any thoughts?

I think Stern’s more prestigious and probably more selective.

From what I read, Stern had an 18% acceptance rate for the Class of 2012.

holy crap where’d you find that statistic
