NYU Lecture Size

I'm thinking of applying to NYU and I just wanted to know whether or not the size of the lecture makes it harder to learn the material being taught (in pre-med required courses)?

Also is the pre-med program there any good? Are there many people doing it or do most do art-related things?

If you get into the honors class, lectures are much smaller. Think 30-50. If you are in regular, the lecture can be hundreds of students. Typically you do group studies anyway so its not difficult to learn if you read the book and attend classes.

depends on the major. math major classes are small (10-40) compared to economics (50-100+).

Because they’re doing construction, there’s only one class for Intro to Chemistry and Biology. We have at least 600 students, maybe more in Chem. I’m only two weeks in, so I couldn’t possibly tell you if this is going to be a major problem.

So many people here are pre-med! I don’t know the program rankings (I’m not in it) but NYU has very highly regarded in programs besides the arts.
