NYU Merit Scholarship?

If I apply regular decision, is there still a chance I can receive a merit based scholarship? I love NYU, but I can't pay for it :(

Hoping to get into Stern.

Stats:
ACT - 33
GPA (un, w) - 3.95, 4.33
SAT II - Chem 710, math 2 700

It’s always possible, but it will be extremely tough to get one from Stern, even with great stats. Your SAT II’s are on the low side.

I don’t have to submit my SAT though right? You can just submit the ACT scores and it’ll cover it?

Yeah, the just the ACT will cover it.
I was wondering that too before. I was going to send in my SAT Math Level II, but I only have a 640 as of right now with a 31 superscored ACT (32 on Math). I would imagine sending my SAT II will hurt more than it will help.

Does NYU superscore the ACT? I thought they only superscore the SAT.

I visited last week and physically asked the Welcome Center. Yes they do superscore the ACT, at least as of this year.

I won the MLK scholarship at NYU-Stern last year, when I applied. I believe this scholarship was 25000 a year + an additional 10,000 a year in travel/leisure money. This was particularly generous as it was merit-based. In any case, I did not attend NYU, and am currently a freshman at Duke University.

Wow. What were your stats to win that?

And if you don’t believe me, look here: [ACT “superscore” - Topic Powered by Eve Community](http://nyu.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/9834033161/m/625105775)

Really? Awesome! That means my ACT score is one point higher.

Lol. I went up one point too. I retaking them on Saturday, so hopefully i can get a 32 superscore.

What were your stats? I really really want a scholarship so I can attend!

And my ACT isn’t superscored…
