I have been accepted to NYU (CAS) and GW and I have no idea where I want to go (they seem very similar)!!! I am interested in studying political science/international affairs. While I am aware GW is known for these majors, I don't know very much about NYU's undergraduate political science/IR reputation. If anyone could shed light on this quandry I would be very appreciative. The idea of NYC is sooo nice but I think, too, that D.C. would be better for politics....... what do you all think?

Thanks!

Honestly, I would go with the cheaper option. NYU is more of an econ school, and the IR program is small and a mystery. On the other hand, I feel GW is really overrated. GW is better than NYU for political science, I know that.

they are both so ridiculously expensive. i'm waiting for my aid info from GW tho. its going to be so hard to choose!

if you want to get into politics GW will probably be able to set you up with better internships because they are all in DC and that will get you better connections for when you leave (unless you want to work at the UN or something.....) They are both very well known schools though and you'd probably get a great education at both. But the contacts are almost just as important (or more so) for life after school.
