I was accepted into NYU-Stern and Macaulay Baruch. Which school do you think is better? I plan to enter grad school right after I finish my undergraduate degree. My interests are finance and accounting. However, I am also thinking about pursuing a law degree (tax/corporate) or a JD/MBA.

What about finances? How much can you afford? NYU comes with a huge amount of loan.

Finances aren’t an issue. I want to be in the school where I will stand out the most, so I will be able to get into the best graduate/law schools.

My concern is: do the best graduate schools recognize Macaulay?

I am wondering the EXACT SAME THING. It’s really hindering my decision. Anyone?

if finances isn’t an issue, then i’d choose nyu stern.

…why?

Certainly NYU-Stern if finances aren’t an issue.

I would go with NYU, especially if $$$ is not a factor. It is much more known and respected than your other choice. It is among the best undergraduate business programs out there and I think you will have greater opportunities upon graduation, should you choose not to go grad school. While Baruch has a great local reputation, NYU’s is much greater nationally. This may or may not be important to you, but things happen in life for which we have no control. So, let’s say you change your mind and want to work after college but need to relocate to California for whatever reason. Having Stern on the resume will open more doors than Baruch…
