NYU poem and movie description

I'm done my NYU personal statements, but somehow I think they don't reflect me as much especially for the poem.
I was going to go for the haiku, but then how much could you present yourself in such a short poem?
When I go for the short poem, I feel like I have too much liberty...I dont have any structure, etc (eg, rhyme scheme)

I mean, does people who are going to study literature etc will have more advantage? Cause I'm not very poetic.

And there's only so much space to write the movie description...

have more of an advantage lol

no i dont think so
yea you’re right, a poem allows you so much freedom but then ppl who study poems and literature have a sense of whats good and what isnt

me on the other hand, I think the poem i wrote is the best poem ever written (naturally)

I dont really study poems perse, i’ll read them if i have to
but I do listen to alot of songs (mostly funk n soul n old school hip hop, and if u know what those are like, then you’ll know they can get reallly poetic)
