@sos2000 I was accepted into CAS ED1, I got a little over $50,000 from CAS merit scholarship, so basically full tuition. However, NYU has some affordable dorms, for instance, Rubin is around $8000-$8700 per YEAR, so I’m hoping to live there because for me, that is definitely doable without taking excessive loans. I have also received additional scholarships from outside sources. So, I think that you can make it work if you get more scholarships. While it’s not guaranteed that I’ll get Rubin, I made it my top choice when I did my housing application and my friend who lives there said that students who demonstrate financial need usually get Rubin, so fingers crossed. There’s no AC in Rubin which is why it cost less than other dorms, but I’m willing to sacrifice to go and especially since I heard it’s not too bad since New York is freezing!
@AcademiaSavvy I was also accepted into UMiami, it’s a great school and they honestly barely accepted anyone so that’s an accomplishment!!!
@chiandrics they’re scholarships are almost always renewable
@someuniversity22 I find it weird that UF rejected you with your stats. They accepted almost everyone (except 2 people) from my school who was in the top 5%. Their lost.
waitlisted to CAS. 1530 SAT. Legacy.
