Hello everyone,
I'm currently a senior applying to NYU (CAS) for Early Decision.
My GPA and SAT scores are both under the standards of NYU and I am the President (or some variation of a leadership position) for 14 clubs/organizations.
I feel fairly confident about my essays and what not.
Now enough of tooting my own horn.
My issue revolves around two of my SAT II scores.
I received a 630 on Biology-E and a 620 on my U.S. History.
Both are scores that I'll regret for the rest of my life; simply because I didn't study enough when I could've easily studied and done much better.
My question is whether or not I send in my SAT II scores... considering NYU doesn't even ask for SAT II scores.
THE BIGGER ISSUE HERE is I plan to major in IR and wrote an essay on IR and my love for it.
My final grades for all history classes in high school have been consistently A's and I'm even taking 2 history classes this year.
My thought was that if I plan to major in history...and I did as poorly as I did (53 percentile), wouldn't it give off the impression that I can't even do well in my own subject?
I could just as easily not send them in, but would that give off the impression that I'm lazy and didn't take any SAT II's?

So basically... what's worse? Lazy or stupid (obviously with consideration in context of the problem)?

Thanks,
HSInquistion
