NYU Spring Transfer 2016

She applied to CAS (intended major: bio chem) @ilovemyself123 . I’m freaking out too, because I haven’t received this change. Good for her though, i guess.

Nobody who applied to CAS heard back yet right?

applied to CAS and still haven’t heard back. my financial aid info has “select year” and “award access not available” so I’ve been freaking out because I don’t remember what it said before so I’m not sure if it’s changed.

I’m praying they’d send out emails today but I doubt it since it’s thanksgiving of course. Maybe they have pre-made emails that send out at a specific time…

Maybe… I went through last year and the year before’s spring transfer pages and a lot of the students received their decisions on Tuesday around 8:00 am right after they wake up and unfortunately, some had to wait till the third week of December to receive the decision. I am just hoping to receive whichever in a week because the deadline for my current cc’s registration is coming up soon :frowning:

Anyone heard anything today? I applied to CAS. Please feel free to contact me! Let’s wait together!

Any thoughts on the updated window of hearing back? It now says mid November to early January.

Early Jan?!! Oh man, the deadline for next quarter’s fee in my school is Dec. 15. If NYU send out decisions that late, I don’t know if I could enroll even if I got accepted!

I hope we will all hear back soon.

@bw68apply We’re in the same boat.

@LeoStrauss where does it say that?! It’s getting really crazy now…

even if we get accepted in January, what about housings, and classes? our only option will be to take whatever is remaining… I am just very upset and mad at the same time :frowning:

By the logic of the previous notification deadline, we could hear back as soon as late February?

OMG. Jan is sooo late. At this point I just want to know the decision, better or worse.

That really makes me angry. It makes me not even want to go there if this is the way they handle things.

Early January? Wow that’s really ridiculous.

Early January now, oh lord. Maybe they have a lot of strong candidates.

and somebody said earlier that the admission officer said “you should be expecting news soon”…a month later?! seriously? It’s like they don’t care that we are “transfers” and that we are attending another college/university that we need to register and pay for before the deadline if we get rejected. They are so irresponsible

Well, from some perspective, transfers are indeed not as important as first-year applicants. lol. At this point, the best thing to do is not putting all eggs in one basket and register the classes we want for next quarter/semester. Finger crossed and hope they will start to send out decisions right after the break, or my money will go to my current school instead of NYU.
