NYU Stern AP Scores for Admissions

I’m planning to apply to NYU Stern next year and I found out they accept AP scores in lieu of the SAT and was wondering which scores I should apply with these three AP scores:

AP U.S History (5)
Projected AP Stats (5)
AP Micro (5)

or would it be better to just send an SAT score of 1400?

@BostonPats I would consult with your guidance counselour on this. I personally would submit both the AP and the SAT but I do not know a lot about NYU. Good luck!

I was recently admitted to NYU Stern by sending AP scores (5’s on all: Apush, CalcBC, Environ) instead of my 1390 SAT. A person who was one ranked higher than me ~1% sent in her 1450 SAT score and was waitlisted. This is only my experience.

I was admitted RD to Stern. I sent in my SAT score(2310, it was the old version because i took it in 11th grade) and self reported my AP scores. I would recommend sending both scores as long as SAT score isn’t terrible, which it isn’t. Although, I wouldn’t worry to much about scores. They only help so much. Many people in my school applied with stellar scores and were rejected. It’s the extracurriculars that get you in.

An SAT score of 1400 may be slightly below average but is definitely still competitive. Sending in both your AP scores AND SAT score should be more beneficial in your case than solely submitting your AP scores.
