NYU Stern vs. Georgetown McDonough Undergraduate

So I was recently admitted into both NYU Stern and Georgetown McDonough RD, and I have been struggling immensely trying to decide between the two programs. Has anyone been in the same situation and can offer some advice? Literally any help at all would be a great help, especially since I have to make a choice soon and I can’t attend any admitted student weekends or see the campuses again due to COVID-19. Assuming cost is no issue, which program would you choose and why? Thank you so much in advance!!

Although I have not been in the same situation as you, I can tell you this. Aside from Stern being one of the top business schools in the Nation, it is in the heart of New York City. New York is one of the financial capitals of the world. Especially in the world business, connections are everything. The opportunities and connections you will have at Stern will be like no other. Location is key, and for this reason, I would choose Stern over Georgetown. I hope this helps out a bit!

I am an NYU Stern student and love, love, love my school. That being said, both are amazing schools and it truly depends are what you prefer. I definitely prefer NYC over the DC area, just more to do. Georgetown has a more campus feel but again I preferred NYC, Washington Square Park, the artistic vibe and celebrity sightings. If you are into sports than Georgetown has more than NYU. Also if you are thinking about political sciences or going into politics than Georgetown would edge NYU out.
Both schools are competitive but Stern is very competitive but I still made so many amazing friendships in Stern as well as in CAS, Tisch (my crazy drama gals), Gallitan and Tandon (Engineering). If you want to cross-major in NYU, the other school as pretty flexible just need to coordinate your classes well. Stern has a top rated finance major but the management and accounting dept have some of my fav. professors. I loved my freshman dorm (Lipton) but had friends in Rubin, Brittany and Weinstein who all loved their experience as well. Good luck whatever you decide, they are two amazing schools.
