I'm well aware that NYU's business school is highly competive, but do you think its a match for me? I got a 31 on the acts, 1370 on sats, and I have a 4.0. 4s on AP econ, 4 other ap classes Here are some extracurriculars:
student council for the past 7 years, secretary of the nhs, spanish club, I've played varsity tennis for 3 years, piano lesson 8 years, choir until 10th grade, art classes outside of school, attended USC exploration of architecture summer program (i know it probably won't will help with business), did an engineering summer program.

I orginally wanted to pursue architecture, but through a long process I decided it wasn't right for me. Many of the classes I took in high school were for architecture, so I don't have a lot of experience with business. Which sat IIs do you recommend I take?

sounds pretty solid. i got in with basically the same resume, except on the ACT i got a 30 and didnt take the SAT. oh and the ap credits are basically useless at stern.

how are AP credits useless dilo? Based on the AP information he just gave, he can place out of both introductory econ classes, plus 4 elective classes. Take two more classes over the summer and he could graduate a year early.

you can't place out of both intro econ. classes. stern makes you take macro. and a lot of the ap's this year didnt let you place out of classes, you just have to take a more difficult version of it.

dilo, i believe it's the other way around. I'm placing out of macro, and from what i hear, if you took AP Micro, then you just take a more advanced course.

vbontu, you have a very solid chance of getting in. i got in with a 31 ACT, 1360 SAT. You show good leadership, service, and basic all around activities. Solid resume, you should be able to get into anywhere if you just raised that SAT up a bit. Stern however, you should have a good shot.
