Hi! I'm a rising senior in high school, living in wonderful state of NY
I'm really interested in event management, business & hospitality jobs in general :)

Both NYU Tisch Center for Hospitality & Cornell Hotel School have degrees available for a B.S in hospitality management
Cornell's hotel school is #1, NYU is a good school too.
Can you help me pick one?

By the way, is a B.S in hospitality management worth it? or should I rather get a Bachelor's degree in something more general business like accounting, finance, business management? Which one would provide for a better salary in the future & more openings to jobs.

Until you have applied to both, been accepted by both, and have received your financial aid package from both, there really is no point in “choosing” between them. Apply to them, file the financial aid paperwork, and see what the results are next spring.

^^I agree, see where you get in and what your aid is at each school. Cornell is the top in that field, but if you really want NYC life then NYU is probably worth considering. Hotel management is a good field if it is what you want to do. The other business fields you mentioned (accounting, finance) will give you more flexibility because you won’t have to declare a major until the end of soph. year most likely so you can take some intro classes and see what interests you.
