I remember at the info session they said that there may be a program that they felt was a better fit for someone, especially if another was full. So, Congratulations that’s cooolio. : D

*** I emailed them about singapore since they mentioned I could ask about other programs, but they never got back to me! should I call!?

My daughter applied for Tisch’s acting program in NYC but was accepted into the Paris program. Did this happen to anyone else? Has anyone been to NYU in Paris’ Acting Workshop?

You should definitely call…It may prove to be quicker.

Hi all, got accepted to the dramatic writing course. I have a friend who was accepted to the film course as well. We’ll be seeing you this summer, it should be great!

Also, someone should really make a facebook group.

haha this is making me angry! I can never find time to call either since their hours are 9-5 mon-fri. and im in CA so I go to school when they’re open and right when I get out they close

Nataliemoo, the same thing happened to me. I got rejected from New Studio Acting, but then a few days later they emailed me about Singapore. Apparently they need to fill spots or something. I didn’t contact them since I got accepted to another summer program, but it sounds like a good opportunity!

There is a facebook group:

[Tisch Summer High School 2010 | Facebook](<a href=“Facebook Public Group | Facebook”>Facebook Public Group | Facebook)

when you all were accepted into the international programs were you rejected or waitlisted into the NY program first? also did they send you a seperate email about forwarding your application to the other program or did they say it in your first email??

occ421; I got rejected from NYC, then a week later I got a seperate email from Tisch saying they wanted to forward my application to the Singapore workshop, and i said yes, and got in there. I wonder if Singapore doesn’t give preferance to juniors over sophmores, because I’m a sophmore; and ive heard NYC gives preferance to juniors. I’m hoping Singapore is just as good, because it’s sooooo expensive, and i’d want my moneys worth! Does anybody know anything about the Singapore musical theatre workshop?

The singapore program is brand new this year and they dont give pref to juniors
so I really want to call about it and occ421 I think you should do

its like $10,000 and financially I cant do that at all. I wonder when we will hear back about the waitlist. The deadline was today so I’mthinking probably like monday or tuesday they will start notifying people who are close to the top of the waitlist…im anxious, becuase I have to decide if I am going to go to the program at Boston or not…

Nataliemoo, the same thing happened to me. My mom called to ask about the program and they told her that the program in Singapore is exactly the same as in NYC, but obviously it’s in Singapore. The teachers who are working there for the summer are those Musical Theatre instructors who decided they wanted to go abroad for the summer. Singapore is the only other MT program destination NYU Tisch offers other than the one in NYC. I’m going and I’m really excited, Do you think you will go?

Junior here, waitlisted for film

does ANYBODY know what happens to waitlisted kids who applied for scholarships?
Like if we get in, will they still review our scholarship stuff!?

Has anyone heard anything recently from Tisch regarding waitlisted students?

This is what I got:

Dear Wait-Listed Students,

Thank you again for applying to the Tisch School of the Arts New York City Filmmakers Workshop for high school students.* At this time, all accepted students have confirmed with deposits and there are no spaces available.

dallastheater what program did you apply to? when I called they said they hadnt processes the wait list for the new studio for acting.

oh, and theatrenerd, have you gotten any recent info about new studio acting? I am so eager to hear if any spots have opened up

We applied for NY drama and said we would attend Paris, Dublin, Singapore if selected
