Hello I really want to get into NYU Tisch for directing, I'm a high school junior now, my GPA is pretty good around 3.8 or even better. I haven't take SAT yet, my PSAT was 176, and I'm taking Prep classes, and it should get better. I can get some really strong recommendation letters from a director. Do you think I can get in?

50% of Tisch's decision is based upon your audition/portfolio. so it's hard to chance you. also there are times when you can be artistically accepted to the school, but academically rejected in which case you are rejected. so raise your SATs. for tisch i've heard that 1900 is a safe score, but just try to get it as high as you can.

I am also a junior in high school and want to pursue a film/television major at NYU. I haven’t taken my SAT, but I took my PSAT and made a 1320. My score should get higher when I take the SAT and I will probably retake it until I get the score I want. I am taking one AP class, and was in the chamber ensemble at my school. I played the violin for 5 years and I am now learning the cello. Will this look good on my application? What SAT score should I strive for?
