NYU transfer applicant question

Hey everyone,

I applied to the college of arts and sciences at NYU and ended up getting into LSP, but I turned it down. I'm applying again this year with hopes that i'll get into cas this time but im not sure if i will because of my SAT scores. I got like a 1900 SAT I score and a 730 and 680 on SAT 2s. Does NYU care about SAT's as much for transfer applicants or can good grades in college overshadow very meh scores? I have a 3.8 gpa after one semester at Boston University, so im hoping that will be enough to get me in with a decent merit scholarship but idk what the thought process is in admitting transfers.
can anyone give me their opinion? thanks!

p.s. I also put a lot of effort into the personal statement and supplement so that NYU knows exactly why I want to attend and what appeals to me over BU.

I can tell you that my SATs were a little bit higher and I tramsferrred in to Stern. You’re GPA is fine, mine was a little higher. I’ve heard that the essay and supplements are strongly considered in transfer admissions because it’s how the differentiate between people with the same stats. My essay was strong and I was very creative with my supplement questions so focus on those. By now it’s all you can really do. I can also tell you that if you’re hoping for a scholarship that is very unlikely. Transfer students get the worst aid for their first year because they make your financial aid package after everyone else. Therefore scholarships are hard to get. I was lucky that I received the scholarship that I received and I was told that I was very fortunate. Good luck with everything!
