I’m currently a sophomore at SJSU (One of the California State) and thinking to transfer to NYU as junior in fall 2020:
I previously got rejected by NYU as freshman with 3.3-3.5 HS GPA (pretty terrible GPA for NYU, but mainly because I moved from other country and I don’t speak English prior moving to US). Now that my GPA at SJSU is around 3.72-3.75. And I’m an officer position (and one of the founding member, not sure if that matters) for two clubs that I’m running and I’m wondering:
- what are my chances for getting into NYU CAS for sociology major as transfer? Or I should apply for Global Liberal Studies for higher acceptance (bilingual with Mandarin and English, speak both language fluently)?
2)How hard is it to do internal transfer to Stern from CAS? Start having interest in business, but will most likely to apply as sociology major based on all the extracurriculars
- how many rec letter does NYU want/ require for transfer ? Does it matter a lot?
Please let me know if any of you have any idea of what are chances for getting in, or anything else I should be aware while applying.
Thanks!!!
