I been reading alot of the posts on this board, and a lot of people have been writing that they got accepted to the Sunday April 10 UNiversity Day. To makes matters worse one of my friends thats applying to NYU also got a letter . I always thought i had similar stats to him( i have higher SATS, he has higher grades), but i checked my mail today i and got nothing from NYU. Does this basically mean im getting rejected from NYU CAS?

We won't know until we actually receive the rejection/acceptance letter. Before, NYU kept sending me all types of pamplets/booklets and even an application. Now, nothing. lol I'm guessing rejection, but I'm hoping for a surprise... or a miracle. ^_^;

Same as lillian, haven't received anything from NYU for the longest time (Don't even know if they processed my application or not). Anyways, I hope not getting the University Day letter doesn't mean rejection.

What are both your stats Lillian and ej?

hey kidd here are my stats. Im applying to the CAS at NYU. Ive already gotten into BU, and UCONN. Ive been defered from JHU and just got waitlisted at BC last week. Im waiting to hear from Vandy,JHU,Cornell, and of course NYU. Ive havent gone any letters for Univeristy Day or Sunday at the Square, so i pretty much giving up hope. Please let me know what you think my chances at NYU are. Also if you can give mine at my other schools that would be great. Here are my stats.

I go to a very competive prep school. All these grades are not weighted. I think my courseload is amoung the top 10 percent of my class. My overall grades/ courseload qualifies for the top 25-30 percent. There is no class rank in my school.

Any feedback/opinion are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well my D totally screwed up her application, writing long 500 word essays where they wanted 2 -3 sentences. Then we got no brochures, e-mails, letters or Sunday at the Square. Nothing not even an acknowledgment of application. I was sure she was out. Then today the University Day card. So who knows?

My guess it's all related to internal things that mean little except what school you applied to or what area.

Of course it's a lot nicer when you're in the same boat as everyone else, but the truth is you won't know til you know.
