Bard is AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. I truly had an awful time during my campus tour and visitation. Seemed like a quirky place with no mind for education.

Part tells me to pick NYU because it’s my dream school, and because I love NYC. Part of me says to pick Bard because it’s a great LAC and they gave me the most money. Part of me says to try something different and pick USC because they have the best programs and I’ve never lived in L.A. I need to get my package back from USC, because hopefully that will put things in perspective.

NYU, I’ll be in NYC too (either NYU or Barnard)
Were you a Columbia EDer? I recognize you’re name from somewhere…
I also had the option to go to UCLA…we are both in similar dilemmas.
If it helps any, I’m picking NYU or Barnard becuase of NYC. LA and California are great, but do you want to spend four years there? That’s what tipped the scale for me becuase I was leaning towards UCLA at one point.

^I was a Columbia EDer. your name sounds familiar too. lol. I totally get what you’re saying but did you recieve good Fin. aid from NYU. I think at this point that is a greater concern for me than anything, because I’m not sure if it’s worth it to go to NYU and come out with 100K in debt. I do agree with you NYC is the best city and has the most oppurtunities.

If you want to be a print journalist I would go to a program that has a journalism major. Even though Columbia and Bard are great schools, they have no major for it. Bard is strong in writing, but journalism is different from creative writing. You don’t want to pay all that money and then have to go to graduate school. Someone would rather hire someone who has a journalism degree. Internships is also a key and you could get that if you would go to Bard.
