I'm deciding between NYU and UVA, but I have no idea what to choose...I'm definitely doing medicine in the future.

I have decent financial aid for both.

I have decent financial aid for both.

What is the cost difference between each. Of your choices UVA is the superior institution.

I love how you say “for medicine” when you’re actually only planning to be a pre-med student.

NYU is the best school if you want to get an internship at a hospital or something, because it’s an urban setting and there are a ton of hospitals and clinics in just a 10 mile radius.

Baylor College of Medicine is good but you won’t be going to Medical School yet, so save this school for later.

UVA is a reputable school too.

Penn State - avoid if you look like a 12 y/o boy.

Go to NYU.

NYU and UVA are totally different schools. NYU has no campus but is in the heart of NYC. UVA has a stunningly beautiful campus, good sports teams and good school spirit among other things. Which of these would you prefer? Pick based on fit.

I’m not sure what this means but I got $61,960.00 offered by “Aid Year” for NYU. For UVA, I’m in-state, so it’s reasonably priced.

I honestly don’t really care about the environment haha, city, rural, etc. I’m fine with all of them.

It’s just so hard to choose…any more opinions?

Are you sure that you don’t have a preference? The two schools are very very different. Are there any stipulations on the aid NYU is offering, like you have to keep above a certain GPA? If so, you might want to side with UVA because that is a guaranteed lower tuition.

Yeah, it doesn’t really matter. I’m going to be studying anyways, and I feel like I could fit in any scene: city or rural. There are no stipulations for NYU’s financial aid.

My uncle lives in NYC, so I’m probably going to be staying with him if I go to NYU.

It’s so hard to decide though…I know UVA and NYU are both really great schools. UVa because of its reputation and NYU because of the hospitals around as the previous poster mentioned.
