The title pretty much says it all.
Cornell or UVA for pre-med? And why?
Where do you think you would do best?
I admit that I really don’t know as much about Cornell as I should. I’m conflicted as I hear that Cornell has massive grading curves and his highly competitive, and it’s also difficult to graduate. UVA also has the on-campus hospital. But Cornell is, well, Cornell! Can I pass that up?
Any opinions?
@ErinsDad Thank you!
Any more opinions?
I’m just a student like you, but I’m also interested in the pre-med track. I think it’s more important to go to a school where you will do well (get that 4.0 so you can go to med school) and a school you will enjoy rather than pick a school based solely on prestige. You mentioned that Cornell is “well, Cornell!” It is Ivy League and an excellent school, but UVA is a fantastic school as well! If cost is not an issue, go where you feel you’ll have a great academic experience and overall experience.
Can anyone give specifics on why one should be chosen over the other?
