<p>NYU is better than Tufts in most areas. Besides US News, most objective rankings have NYU above Tufts. NYU's academic schools are harder to get into. Location is a matter of opinion, I'd say NYU easily wins in that area. </p>
<p>FYI, if you've ever heard of "Tufts Syndrome" (where the school purposely rejects ultraqualified candidates who use it as a safety...Wash U and Penn SAS do this as well), its easy to see Tufts acceptance rate is padded and artificially low, making Tufts seem better than it really is.</p>
