NYU vs UCSD

So, I have gotten into both NYU and UCSD and with about a week left before having to commit I am really get second doubts about which school to go to. I am majoring mainly in computer science as that is what I like to do, and and am debating which college is better for me. I know that UCSD has a pretty good Computer Science program and cost much less. However, in NYU I already have a sort of, mentor, that can help through thick and thin and may also start a successful company with me. In NYU I would get the opportunity to work with him and produce much more potential for the company while also risking the BS degree in Computer Science. And that gets me to my point. Unfortunately, NYU only offers a BA degree in computer science and I have heard, from various sources, that this degree is quite useless in prospects of a stable job. That is why I decided that I could do a joint major in both mathematics and computer science so I can say that I have a stable background in math. However, I am still not sure whether I would get a BS or a BA in math (maybe someone can tell me?) from NYU or whether it is worth doing this rather than going to UCSD. I know NYU has many more opportunities but I dont know if those opportunities fit with my major. Furthermore, I do not know if the tuition is worth it if I wont get a stable job anyway. Any thoughts specifically on the education of both schools or maybe some general advice to consider?
