Hi! I had the great fortune of being admitted to several great universities for the next fall semester. I am very excited to stat my undergraduate studies, although I want advice on where I should go, or simply what is the better option
I was admitted with a full-ride to NYUAD. If I were majoring in a liberal arts degree I would almost certainly go to NYUAD. The travel opportunities, aid and personalized attention offered are probably unparalleled. However, I am a little skeptical about how great their engineering program is. NYU’s engineering program looks great but it has never been ranked highly, and NYUAD focuses primarily on liberal arts.
I think NYUAD’s engineering program falls short from other universities to which I was admitted to (UT Austin, Texas A&M, University of Illinois and Purdue). I should note that I have received some outside scholarship that would almost certainly enable me to graduate from any these schools debt free. So money, luckily, is not a deciding factor. So, how does NYUAD compare to the traditional but great engineering programs in the US?
TL;DR: Is NYUAD’s engineering as good as engineering in the best ranked American Universities or is it close?
Thank you all for your help!
