O of U, Tell me everything you know

Tell my anything you know about the University of Oregon. While my grades are low I will be eligible to apply. If anyone can answer this question it'd be nice, I recieved a D in math in first sememster but in second i recieved a D which in the UC system offsets the D. I'm not sure if this is true for O U. I understand they are bringing baseball back which is a plus as i like to play it. Also, being a middle class california citizen, it is worth going to Oregon if getting in? How much can i expect from financial aid and other money benefits. I think themost my family and I can pay is 10 grand a year and thats pushing it. Just a little scared off by the high tuition (18,000)

WAit how does getting a D 2nd semester ofset a D 1st semester. Ok so here goes, Min gpa for guranteed U O =3.25 unless u got good SAT to ofset there is some chart that shows that. http://admissions.uoregon.edu/apply/gpachart.htm
al'right. I am in-state so what i know is for instate, but u know their accpetence rate is like 90% so, i gues do well on SATs and your gpa should not hurt too bad.

sorry, was a typo, I meant the B for 2nd sem offsets the D for 1st. And I'm aware that they accept 90% which is why i'm hopeful. Also, do u go there now? How is it there? Was the football game saturday crazy?

anyone else?

Nah i don't go there am only a junior in hs, but the school always espounds oregon colleges so i kinda now wots going on.

so even if out-of-state if you have above a 3.25 uw you are garunteed admission, correct??

Are you good enough to play Division 1 baseball? If so, you may have a shot. If not, why would Oregon's bringing back baseball matter to you at all. You'll just be a spectator.

If you're good enough to be recruited, all other issues are out the window until you talk to the coach.

please answer my question? thanks. its above the Tarhunt post.

uh yeah prolly 3.25 is like a gureenteed acceptence, for maybe even out of state. Just to be on the safe side try to get good marks of the SAT/ACT.

i am almost positive their rule is 3.25 no matter where you live is garunteed acceptance.. ahh can anyone confirm this??

For God's sakes, Canes, go to the !@@#$ website and look it up for yourself!

Generally, colleges look at grades from the 9th through 12th grades, but some colleges discard grades from the 9th grade year. Grades are important, of course, but the difficulty of getting good grades in various high schools varies widely. For instance, a straight-A average from a notorious private school in California counts for very little, since so many people get straight As there and so many of them do so poorly once they are in college.

Generally, the most selective colleges will want to see that you took very challenging courses in high school. They are constantly asked the question if it is better to get an A in a lower level class or a B in a more difficult class. The standard answer is that they want to see As in the tough classes.
