What a joke.

I wonder if there were really that many uh's in the conversation. That was a lot. Experienced or not he is a lousy unscripted speaker from the small sample I have heard. I do agree, and have made the same argument on these boards, that running a successful campaign means squat when it comes to being POTUS. The bottom line is there are only two truly experienced politicos in this election, Biden and McCain. Obama and Palin are posers. I would feel better if it were Biden/Obama and not what it is... In 4 years time Obama would be an excellent candidate.

Please. This is conservative hogwash. To compare Obama's experience to Palin's lack thereof is what is laughable. Just look at their resumes. Obama has dealt with national issues as senator and important state issues as a state legislator. He has a long record of public service and organizational abilities.

The enormous hypocrisy of it all is that Wesley Clark made this EXACT same charge against John McCain a few months ago, when he said that McCain never had executive experience regarding military matters (or any matters, if you think about it). The media began their excoriation of General Clark, and Obama was forced to rein him in despite the fact that what Clark said was true: McCain was a senator who voted on military issues, not a supreme commander who made strategic and tactical decisions.

The Republicans were incensed that a mere four-star general could question the military wisdom of a former POW flyboy.

Yet now, with sitcom mom Sarah Palin on the ticket, they have to do what they always do and contradict their own principles.

And on his campaign that has run for nearly as long as Palin's governorship of Alaska, Obama has had to assemble advising teams much like how a president has to assemble a cabinet. And these aren't backwater (no offense) Alaskan bumpkins debating where to build the annual outdoor rink, but national-level eggheads dealing with critical issues like international affairs and economy. A presidential campaign is much like a mini-White House, and if Obama's management is of any hint, then he will run an extremely efficient and disciplined administration.

A campaign and the presidency are totally different. It's not even worth comparing them. First, we aren't dealing with decisions the President actually makes. Second, Obama has had to deal with Democrats and undecideds. As President, he would have to deal with the half of the country that doesn't even want him in the White House.

He has run an organized campaign that is incredibly efficient. Kudos to him, but it doesn't had to Presidential experience.

YouTube - Obama distorts Palin's record to cover for his inexperience

Yes, he uhs! a lot.
It looks worse in type than in practice.

YouTube - Obama gaffe
Check this one for true incompetence.

The Obama gaffe one is a riot. He isn't great off the cuff...he's actually pretty ****-poor. It doesn't mean he's incapable of being POTUS but if elected he should provide some amusement. Reminds me of some of Dan Quayles talks.

I guess he should've been a 2-year governor of the most remote state in America to get presidential experience. My bad.

"I guess he should've been a 2-year governor of the most remote state in America to get presidential experience. My bad."

Point to where I said that Palin has tons more experience than Obama, and I'll consider this comment more than something that signifies your inability to accept that my statement was true.

It's okay Nbachris, we all make mistakes.

Uh, Uh, Uh where's my teleprompter? Uh, Uh, where's my script? Where are my handlers who tell me what to say? Uh, Uh I'm Obama.

Palin has more executive experience than Obama. She is also the new voice for the working class.

Let's wait to make claims about what she represents and what she doesn't...

Obama represented change, but definitely doesn't anymore. For the record, I don't find this bad at all, but the mythical essence of candidates tend to slip away.

Palin took on big oil and made them pay $1200 to everyone in AK. So has Obama done anything like that at all ever? No.

Look at the poor shape the schools in his neighborhood in Chicago are in. They protested today thanks to the work Obama didn't do.

He didn't change or improve anything for his own neighborhood.
