can someone tell me how to obtain a collegeboard fee waiver?

u gotta talk to a guidance counselor. and if not its almost hundred percent guranteed there is someone at ur school that has them. i went to mine and she gave me four (the max) right at the spot. but make sure that u used an sat fee waiver before or ur not allowed to use one.

and if u cant get one just ask ur counselor to write a letter to the admissions office talking about how paying for the app will put u under financial hardship.

If you took the SAT using a College Board fee waiver, you're automatically eligible for four College Board application fee waivers.

If not, you can always use a NACAC fee waiver (which I'd recommend), and I think that most colleges that accept College Board fee waivers will also accept a NACAC fee waiver or simply a letter from your counselor explaining your financial situation, as the previous poster mentioned.

what if i need one by the 1st of jan.?

than u gotta contact the school or something. or write a letter urself because im guessing ur school closed right now. i think u can also get it from a city oficial or something, the letter explaining ur financial hardships that is.

can i just submit my application first then do all that?

yup. just indicate ur using some kind of fee waiver.

thank you very much
sorry one more question
isn't it with that fee waiver you can use it for only 4 schools?

Can one submit the fee waiver after 01-01 ?

Yeah, you can only use it for four schools, so in my opinion a NACAC fee waiver (for each school I am applying to on common app also accepts a NACAC waiver) is better.

I bet you can submit a fee waiver after January 1st, but it would probably be best for it to be postmarked by the application deadline...also I'm not 100% sure.

what is a NACAC fee waiver?

NACAC is the National Association for College Admission Counseling. NACAC has a fee waiver form that can be filled out by your counselor and mailed to each college. You can just photocopy them and fill in each college's name. I suppose you could also add a letter from your counselor or a handwritten note.

there's a fee wavier for it... o my god im so screwed

yea u didn't know you could get a fee waiver for colle apps

no but its a good thing im not applying this year... so im good still feel kinda stupid

ok then it's a good thing u found out now...
