OCD Diagnosis- Should I disclose

In the beginning of my sophomore year I was diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

I have been working weekly with my therapist and now have medication that helps me. I am so much better now.

It effected my grades soph. year. I had 3 B's during the first semester and 2 during the second.

My grades rebounded Jr year.

Should I put this on my college applications under additional information?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Let your GC know and they will deal with it in the best possible way.

Thank You, MRMom62

any other thoughts?

I agree with MrMom.

No matter how you mention your OCD and how it effected your grades, it might be seen as a plea for sympathy or an excuse – which is why you need your guidance counselor to document the issue and to be your advocate. Although the situation is dissimilar to yours, see what a good GC letter can do: [Writing Recommendations | MIT Admissions](How to write good letters of recommendation | MIT Admissions)
