I will be starting the Ochem series this fall, and I'm searching for a textbook. The textbook listed on the ucsd website is the Voldhart 6th edition. However, I can get the 5th edition for much cheaper. Do I need the most current edition?

You should email your professor and ask if it would be okay.

I would just get the 6th ed and pay more due to the fact that you can resell it. Its 2011 ed, so i doubt by the time ur done with the series they will have made a new edition, so u will be guaranteed that u can sell that book to incoming students for either the same price you bought it as, or for more (so that means u would have paid nothing for the book!). If u get the 5th ed, u will have trouble reselling it.
