Oct 28 SAT Reasoning...

How did you guys take a make up?
Is there an additional fee?

I think I got one math question wrong, the one with 40 cards, and picking 7 out of them.

@ShadowRider: No, there's no fee, the CollegeBoard arranged for it.

why was there a makeup?? O_o

Probably because of flagged scores... I want a flag. I want a flag...

no they were cancelled tests dates. Like in India/NEW YORK

DiGamma23:
I guess the question was "In the passage, what is common between the father and the daughter"
the options were:
- they thought they understood each others feelings
- they were trying to please each other
- they had the same feelings about modern furniture
blah..blah...

I thought for a full minute between the first two options.. and i dont think the answer is trying to please each other. its kinda obvious that both father and daughter thought they understood each others feelings...

has anybody contacted the college board on when the scores for the make-up test will be released?

omg that (f) one is amazing!!!!! I TOTALLY RANDOMLY GUESSED 11. is it really 11 for that grid in? ha i amaze myself with my guessing skills.

was the cards one 37? they had to pick 37 to make sure it was green?

the makeup scores will be released with the reg. oct scores on thursday.

and, to those who are curious, in Buffalo ours were cancelled because of a severe weather issue that closed our schools/city for a week and a half.

can anyone link the november 05 SAT discussion thread. cant find it on here.

i would say the daughter had understood her father but that the father didn't see that the remodeling made no difference to her, so I disagree. the daughter pretended it meant a lot to her, and the father comforted her.

the choice said that the father and her both misunderstood eachother's feelings.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=112074

Btw... digamma is right about that CR answer

so they were trying to please eachother is it?

p.s. CR was harder this time imo

also, curve for math will be 800 770 740 720, and I know you can miss 2 on CR and still get an 800 on this version.

harsh math!!!!! dang.

yeh the Quantum Physics passage was really harsh on me.... i guess i left a couple there...

Hey what abt the question:
a, 2a+1, 2(2a+1)...
in the sequence above the next term is obtained by multiplying the previous term with 2 and the adding 1. If four continuous terms are less than 1000 which can be a alue of 'a'.
a.32
b.49
c. x(don't remember... x>49 and x<124
d.124
e.125

a,b,c,d all were valid, were they not???

this was the 8th question of the MCQ on the maths ssection with GRid -in questions

yeah dude that question really bugged me
It was stupid .... all of a,b and c could be true.
i just marked c because its the highest correct value

yeah dude that question really bugged me

nope.. not all of the first three will be correct.. The question said "if EXACTLY four terms are less than 1000", what is the value of a? I remember answering it as c...

digamma: are you sure about the math curve?

imo too, critical reading was very tough... tougher than any practise test I had taken in fact...

GetOuttaBuffalo: the cards answer was 37 yes... as far as i know..

does anyone know about the experimental sections? we had a math experimental and i think it is the section that had a scatter plot that was experimental..

There was also this question which had a tower of 1 sq. inch blocks... what is the total surface area of the tower? the answer was 26 rite?
